SAPM on Health confirms the onset of third wave of coronavirus

Lahore, 12th March: Health authorities have confirmed that a third wave of the coronavirus pandemic has started in Pakistan. Baaghi TV: According to reports, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health, Dr Faisal Sultan has confirmed that the third wave of coronavirus has started in Pakistan. Faisal Sultan said in his statement, “There is no doubt that the third wave has started as the big cities of Punjab are recording flux of COVID-19. The new coronavirus strain is affecting countries across the world and that it spreads rapidly.” He has urged the public to continue following the standard operating procedures (SOPs) designed to control the spread of the coronavirus. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has called a meeting of the cabinet committee on fighting coronavirus threat to review the pandemic situation in the wake of the National Command and Operation Centre’s (NCOC) decision to re-impose restrictions after a rise in infections.
