Saudi Arabia extends ban on international flights
Riyadh: Saudi Arabia further extended the ban on international flights and suspended international flight operations due to fears of the spread of the coronavirus.
According to details, the Saudi government has decided to further extend the ban on international flights in the country. A formal notice has been issued by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia in this regard. The notice announced that international flights in the country will remain closed as concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus remains, which has led to the decision not to resume international flight operations.
It should be noted that Saudi Arabia, like other countries in the world, had imposed a complete ban on international flights in March due to the spread of coronavirus. Later, only special flights were allowed to operate, while commercial flights were not allowed to resume.
Saudi Arabia to resume air space for int’l flights
Few days ago, news was circulating on social media that international flights were to be resumed in the country, but GACA denied this and said that the Saudi government does not intend to resume international flight operations.
It may be recalled here that Pakistani migrants returning home on holiday have been badly affected due to the closure of international flights. Due to the closure of international flights in Saudi Arabia, a large number of working Pakistanis are unable to return to the country, as a result of which they are likely to lose their jobs.
