Saudi Arabia’s hostility towards Turkey
Riyadh, 23rd October: Saudi Arabia has again shown hostility with Turkey.
Baaghi TV: Tensions with Turkey have led Saudi supermarkets to boycott Turkish products.
According to media reports, Turkish exporters of textiles and other products complained of unnecessary delays in orders from Saudi Arabia, warning that Riyadh’s efforts to curb Turkish imports could adversely affect the global supply chain.
Turkish products have been removed from the shelves of most of Riyadh’s supermarkets, but some supermarket owners say they will continue to sell Turkish products until the current stock runs out.
Qatar, meanwhile, has asked its citizens to buy as many Turkish products as possible. Large department stores have set up special shelves for Turkish products.
It should be noted that Saudi Arabia has imposed an unannounced ban on the purchase of Turkish products.
