Riyadh, 5th June: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has reiterated his position that Saudi Arabia will continue to support the international coalition’s efforts against the terrorist organization ISIS.
He added that Saudi Arabia would make every effort to eliminate the organization and its affiliates.
According to the Saudi state news agency SPA, the Saudi foreign minister made the remarks while addressing a small meeting of ministers of the member states of the international coalition active against ISIS, via video conferencing on Thursday.
On the occasion, Prince Faisal said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called on the member states of the alliance to share their experience in the field of counter-terrorism, to stop the financing of terrorism, to fight extremism and to spread the values of tolerance and generosity.

“I would like to point out that a working group led by Saudi Arabia, the United States and Italy is constantly working to dry up the source of ISIS funding.”
It should be noted that the operation against ISIS is also underway in Pakistan. The Special Investigation Unit Karachi and the Federal Intelligence Agency have conducted a joint operation.
During the operation, a terrorist affiliated with ISIS was arrested. Weapons used in the incident along with ammunition and other items were also recovered from the accused. The arrested accused is Sikandar Khan son of Kamil Jan. According to police, the arrested accused admitted affiliation with Pakistan.
In 2013, the accused was arrested in several serious cases in Karachi, including terrorism, and sent to jail, which was later transferred to Mardan Jail. Accused Sikandar, who was arrested after serving his sentence in a terrorism case from Mardan Jail, revealed that he joined the terrorist organization ISIS in 2019 and started extortion in Karachi with the help of his associates.
The accused sent an extortion slip to Dr. Siraj within the limits of PIB police station. He confessed to firing on Dr. Siraj and attacking the clinic with a bomb. Case No. 68/2020 and 84/2020 were registered against the accused in PIB police station under other provisions including terrorism.
The arrested accused also demanded extortion from a citizen named Haleem within the limits of Korangi Industrial Area Police Station whose case number 288/2020 was registered under the provisions of extortion including terrorism. The arrested accused also revealed his involvement in dozens of other serious incidents including extortion across the city.
