Saudia Arabia suggests boycotting everything Turkish
5th October 2020: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has asked its people to boycott all Turkish goods. Baaghi TV: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused some Gulf countries of pursuing policies that were destabilizing the region. In response, the Saudi authorities asked their people to boycott all Turkish goods. ” The boycott of everything Turkish, whether on the level of import, investment or tourism, is the responsibility of every Saudi — trader and consumer — in response to the continued hostility of the Turkish government against our leadership, our country and our citizens,” Saudi Arabia’s Chamber of Commerce head Ajlan Al Ajlan said. Ever since the murder of columnist Jamal Khashoggi in the Istanbul Saudi consulate in 2018, relations between the two countries have been weak. However Erdogan has on many occasions said that the order of the murder of the columnist came from ‘the highest levels’ of Saudia Arabia, never taking the name of Prince Mohammed Bin Salman directly.
