Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei: Further expansion of Corona could exacerbate economic difficulties
Iran’s Supreme Leader Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei has warned that further spread of the coronavirus could exacerbate problems facing the country’s economy.
According to the AFP news agency, Iran’s Supreme Leader said in a statement that “it would be correct to say that something must be done to prevent economic problems arising from Corona,but carelessness and the spread of the virus will only increase economic problems.”
In April, Iran announced an easing of lockdowns.
According to the country’s health department, 2,456 new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 220,180.
A total of 10,364 deaths were caused by Corona, with 125 more killed.
