SC announces new order on assets of public representatives

The Supreme Court issued a new order on non-disclosure of assets of public representatives and stopped nomination papers from being rejected.

Supreme Court Justice Munib Akhtar has issued a written order containing 12 pages.

While accepting the appeal against the rejection of the papers of councilor candidate Yasir Aftab in the local body elections in Sindh, the Supreme Court said that under the Sindh Local Government Act, the returning officer should satisfy himself before deciding the papers rejection.
