The Supreme Court of Pakistan stopped the Audio Leaks Inquiry Commission from functioning. While suspending the notification of the establishment of the commission, an injunction was issued on the action of the commission.
A written hearing order was issued on the petition against the Audio Leaks Commission.
The Supreme Court declared that the government cannot interfere in the affairs of the judiciary, the consultation of the Chief Justice regarding the nomination of judges in the commission is a mandatory process.
