Schedule announced for PM Khan’s visits to Saudi Arabia, Iran


ISLAMABAD, Oct 12: The schedule for the upcoming visits of the Prime Minister Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia and Iran has been announced.

PM Khan will leave for Saudi Arabia on October 15 for one-day official visit where he will meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Later, the Prime  Minister will visit Iran on Monday after gaining the confidence of Saudi leadership.

Sources said that PM Khan is making efforts to decrease tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Major development in this regard was made after Prime Minister met President Donald Trump and Imran Khan offered mediation between these two countries. Even Prime Minister later said Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman asked him to mediate between Iran and Saudia.

The date of the federal cabinet session was also postponed due to the suddenforeign visits of the premier as it will be held on October 14.

However, it emerged earlier that PM Khan will visit Saudi Arabia on October 29 to participate in three-day Future Investment Initiative (FII) 2019 in Riyadh over the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
