Education department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have decided to change school timings of the junior grade government schools because of the latest heatwave spell across the province.
Classes will be started from 7:30 am till 1:30 considering the heatwave situation, whereas, the timings will be changed to 8:15 am till 2:30 during the upcoming winter season.
As per notification, seven class periods will be held in primary grade schools, eight in higher secondary schools and six for college students.
Earlier in January 2018, the Sindh government had taken some difficult steps ahead of this including changing the schedule of summer vacations and examinations and daily timing of schools and colleges in order to bring positive reforms in the education sector.
It had been decided by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government that summer vacations will be notified in May and June.
