Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Atta Tarar while holding a press conference in Islamabad, has said that the purpose of beautifying Islamabad is to show the positive face of Pakistan to foreign leaders.

Atta Tarar said that when the Saudi delegation visited, they said that we feel a sense of belonging from Pakistan, we are happy to come to here, there is no limit to investment in Pakistan, we have been given this order by the Saudi leadership. Atta Tarar said that investors are trusting Pakistan, the network of motorways was laid during Nawaz Sharif’s reign, China has always extended a hand of friendship.

Today, the Prime Minister of China has visited after 11 years, the world is believing that Pakistan is a safe place for investment. Bloomberg has declared Pakistan’s stock market as an emerging market, foreign exchange reserves have increased, inflation has come down from 32% to 6.9%, investment is increasing as the policy rate goes down, we have become a central location for the world. IMF, World Bank all say that Pakistan’s economy is improving.

Atta Tarar said that today we are happy that the Prime Minister of China has come on a visit to Pakistan after 11 years. Li Qiang is welcome to come to Pakistan and discuss investment and trade.

Investment came to Pakistan through CPEC. Gwadar port was activated, numerous projects were launched in the energy sector. After the Prime Minister’s recent visit to China, CPEC Phase-Two was also discussed. The meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is going to be held, after 27 years the event of this level is going to be held in Pakistan, it is a matter of pride and honor.

A Media Facilitation Center has been launched for journalists coming to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), arrangements have been made keeping in mind international standards for journalists coming from around the world.

The purpose of beautifying Islamabad is to show the positive face of Pakistan to foreign leaders. I welcome all the journalists, we will convey to everyone through the media the topics that will be discussed in the conference for promoting regional cooperation, against terrorism, for the establishment of peace.

Pakistan’s international identity has been restored with the SCO conference, if there is a world cup, a big international event tomorrow, we can do it, we have the capacity. We are getting an opportunity that we are trying to highlight the culture of Pakistan here, the aim is that whoever comes will be inspired by the beautiful culture of Pakistan and will be equipped to speak well in the future.
