Security high alert in Punjab after Chaman blast
Lahore, 10th August: IG Punjab Shoaib Dastgir has ordered to raise security high alert in the province in view of the blast on Chaman Mall Road.
According to Baaghi TV, IG Punjab has directed all RPOs and DPOs to enhance the security of important installations, sensitive places, and other public places.
IG Punjab says that the process of checking at inter-provincial and inter-district check posts is more effective.
Shibli Faraz Condemns Chaman Blast
The IG Punjab further said that the working hours of patrolling forces including Dolphin and Peru should be further extended in the vicinity of public places. Search, sweep and intelligence-based operations should be intensified in all districts.
On the other hand, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has condemned the Chaman bomb blast.
The Balochistan Chief Minister said that terrorist elements wanted to destroy the peace of Chaman to achieve their nefarious aims. The plan to install a fence on the Pak-Afghan border is an obstacle to the nefarious intentions of anti-state elements.

Chief Minister Balochistan further said that with the cooperation of the people, full peace would be ensured in all areas including Chaman. The protection of the lives and property of the peaceful and patriotic people of Chaman is the first priority.
It should be noted that the enemies of peace have carried out another attack in the Chaman area of Balochistan.
A blast on Mall Road in Chaman has killed three people and injured 10 others. The blast was heard far and wide. A heavy contingent of police has reached the spot after the blast and rescue operations are underway.
