Senator Sherry Rehman draws attention to the Shia sect

Lahore, 18th September: Senator Sherry Rehman drew attention to a sensitive issue in the Senate today.
Baaghi TV: PPP Senator Sherry Rehman has said that I want to draw the attention of this House and the government to a very important and sensitive issue, a well thought out campaign against Shia sect has taken hold in the country.
Rehman pointed out that Shiites are being targeted in the country, extremism is sensitive and dangerous in Pakistan, and banned organizations are holding rallies in every city.

She stated that fear is growing among minorities, the government should issue a policy statement on this issue.
Sherry Rehman further added that sectarianism is on the rise in the country, the government must overcome this dangerous trend. what has happened to the National Action Plan?

Sherry Rehman said that immediate action is needed at this time. Banned organizations have to send a direct message, it was part of the National Action Plan.
She stressed that we can not remain silent on it, every citizen of Pakistan is entitled to protection, and the government of Pakistan should ensure the safety of the people.
