Former external affairs minister of India Sushma Swaraj passed away at AIIMS after suffering a heart attack on Tuesday evening.

According to reports of Baaghitv, former external affairs minister of India Sushma Swaraj,67, passed away in New Delhi on Tuesday after suffering from heart attack. She was rushed to AIIMS for medical treatment but she could not recover from heart attack.

Senior BJP leaders Dr Harshvardhan and Nitin Gadkari reached AIIMS to meet her but she could not recover from the heart attack.

She served as the Minister for External Affairs in the first stint of the Narendra Modi from 2014 to 2019. She did not contest Lok Sabha election 2019 and chose to sit out of the government this year on account of her health.

In her last tweet, she thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35-A from the Indian Constitution, which has ripped the special status of Kashmir and made the Jammu and Kashmir a federal state like others 28 states of India.
