Senior PPP leader Rehman Malik passes away at 70
Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, Senator Rehman Malik has passed away at the age of 70. He was infected with the coronavirus, according to the spokesman, Rehman Malik’s lungs had been infected with the coronavirus, Covid-19. Malik was being treated at a private hospital in Islamabad. Funeral prayers and burial details will be announced by the family later. PPP leader Rehman Malik has left a widow and two sons in mourning. Rehman Malik was the federal interior minister during the PPP regime from 2008 to 2013. He was awarded Sitara-e-Shujaat in 1987 and Nishan-e-Imtiaz in 1996. Rehman Malik was born in Sialkot on December 12, 1951. After entering politics, Rehman Malik served as Home Minister from March 25, 2008, to March 16, 2013. However, before entering politics, he served in the FIA. He also served as Benazir Bhutto’s chief security officer.
