Lahore, 21st June: The court has given its ruling on pre-arrest bail of PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif before FIA appearance.
According to reports, Lahore’s Session Court sought bail of Punjab Leader of the Opposition Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz on Monday in sugar scandal case.
The court restrained the FIA from arresting Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz till July 10. The Lahore Sessions Court granted interim bail to both of them till July 10.
The court directed them to submit two surety bonds with each amounting to Rs 1 million.
Shehbaz Sharif said in the court, “I don’t understand why I was given notice. I had also said in jail that I have nothing to do with the sugar mill. I asked what is my connection with the sugar mill?”
“Yes, the properties inherited from the father should be given to the children. As the Chief Minister, I made very important decisions regarding sugar. I will keep the whole record before the court. I was asked to give a subsidy of Rs. 15. I refused,” he added.
His lawyers advised Shehbaz Sharif to get security bail from the court. Hence, Shehbaz Sharif will appear tomorrow after getting security bail from FIA.
It should be noted that after NAB, now FIA has summoned the PML-N President in the Ramazan Sugar Mill scandal inquiry on June 22.
