The federal education minister has become the most closely-followed personality on Pakistani Twitter during coronavirus-imposed school lockdowns.
On Thursday, Mahmood’s announcement to resume regular classes in the educational institutes has shocked the students all over the country.`

The federal education minister released a statement on his official Twitter account saying that all schools will go back to regular five-day classes from Monday, March 1.
He added, “Restrictions imposed in some major cities on schools to conduct staggered classes was only till Feb 28.”
The minister informed that the announcement will be applicable to all educational institutes.
Previously too students have been keeping an eye on the announcements by the education minister and have poured in funny memes.
They also called him their hero after he announced school closures during the pandemic. But this time around the students are now calling him out for his ‘betrayal’ after he made clear it’s time for students to get back to their studies.
