Shahbaz Sharif Accuses FIA of Harassment during Interrogation
According to reports, Shahbaz Sharif, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, has accused FIA investigation team of harassment.
Shahbaz Sharif said that FIA investigation team treated me inappropriately. I had a pointless conversation with FIA investigation team. I could not stand the attitude of the FIA investigation team, I stood up and asked why are you doing this to me? In reply, the officers started laughing and making fun of me.
He said that I lost billions of rupees of my family in Sugar Mills. I served the widows and poor people of Punjab, I opposed the family members and gave cheap sugar to the people, during my government. There was load shedding for 20 hours a day causing agriculture and factories to shut down. I set up cheap power plants in collaboration with China.
Shahbaz Sharif said that after the NAB cases, now the same cases have been handed over to the FIA against me. I am accused of taking commissions in the projects. I have submitted my response to FIA.
It should be noted that money laundering through sugar business is being investigated in FIA against Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz. Both have appeared in FIA but due to fear of arrest, they are taking bail.
Earlier, the Lahore Banking Court issued a written verdict on the interim bail of Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz. The verdict said that the accused would be involved in the investigation and would appear whenever summoned by the FIA. Banking Court Lahore Duty Judge Syed Ali Abbas issued a written decision.
