Shahbaz Sharif rejected the federal budget calling it a disaster

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif has reportedly rejected the federal budget, calling it an enemy of the people.

Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that the budget of the present government will stop the country’s economic breath because this budget is a recipe for disaster. Rejecting the budget presented today, Shahbaz Sharif said that it is a poor budget, as a result of which inflation and unemployment will further increase. Inflation, unemployment, business stagnation have set historical records.

The Leader of the Opposition said that the budget announcements proved that the government was not ready to take the path of reform and wisdom while the historic deficit of 1.7 trillion tax revenue was the performance of the present government.

He said that for the first time in 68 years, the country’s GDP has turned negative, this is the performance of the current government? This year’s 10% fiscal deficit will break all previous records in the country’s economy and budget.

He said that this fiscal deficit has never been in double digits in history, for the first time the present government has done it.

Shahbaz Sharif has said that the budget and its targets are unrealistic and it is likely to aggravate the problems of the people. The government has lost its credibility due to unrealistic budget targets.

He said that it is the first government which has not been able to achieve its targets of tax revenue, government expenditure, fiscal deficit and GDP and not only that but CPEC has been stopped, Balochistan has been ignored.
