Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s Physical Remand Extended by Accountability Court

Islamabad (1st Aug, 2019): Accountability Court (AC) extends physical remand for Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to 15th of August.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, physical remand has been extended by accountability court for former PM, Shahid khaqan Abbasi, in the LNG case to the 15th of August, 2019.
Reportedly, the former PM was presented by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), to the Accountability court which was led by Judge Muhammad Bashir after expiry of his thirteen days of physical remand on Thursday. It has been reported, that NAB took the plea that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi should be investigated thereby, his remand to be extended till the 15th of August.
Moreover, Judge Muhammad Bashir has stated that Khaqan Abbasi “should hire services of council” who can oppose the remand plea of NAB. It has been confirmed by Baaghi’s sources that Abbasi has commented that he would contest his case himself as he was a minister at the time and has better understanding of the LNG case. Abbasi added that he will make NAB understand his side.
