Shehbaz Sharif elected as PMLN President, Maryam as SVP again

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) General Council meeting elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as unopposed President and Maryam Nawaz Sharif as unopposed Senior Vice President (SVP) again on Friday.

In the party’s general council meeting, Ahsan Iqbal was elected unopposed as General Secretary and Maryam Aurangzeb as Information Secretary.

In the PML-N General Council meeting, Ata Tarar was elected as deputy secretary and Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar as unopposed Finance Secretary and President of Overseas Pakistanis.

After the elections, Maryam Nawaz addressed the general council and congratulated all the elected leaders of the PML-N.

She said her father Mian Nawaz Sharif was not present here but lives in the hearts of the people sitting in the party meeting.

Maryam said Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif always supported his elder brother and did not take any decision without the will of Nawaz Sharif as he always considered him as his ‘President’.
