Khan disclosed that plainclothes individuals conducted the arrest of the former interior minister at his home. He further added that Sheikh Rashid had been relocated to an undisclosed location. Alongside Rashid, his nephew Sheikh Shakir, as well as a domestic worker named Imran, were also taken into custody.

The PTI echoed this news on a social media platform X, condemning the arrest as an instance of ongoing political victimization and authoritarian tactics.
