Lahore, 17th March: Sheikh Rashid has offered to provide travel documents to PLM-N’s Supreme leader Nawaz Sharif if he wishes to return to Pakistan.
Baaghi TV: According to reports, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has made an offer to the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to provide him with a travel document if he decides to return to Pakistan.
He said, “Nawaz Sharif’s passport has expired and he could not return to the country.” Rashid offered that if the PML-N supremo desires to return, the government could provide him with a special certificate.
Sheikh Rashid said that PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman have to decide on PDM’S future course at any cost today.
It is to be noted that on February 16, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid had announced that absconded former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s passport will expire tonight.
The minister addressed a press conference, where he declared that the former premier’s passport will not be renewed, however, the government could issue an emergency travel document on his request for returning back to the country.
He informed that the PML-N supreme leader and his daughter Maryam Nawaz’s names have been on the Exit Control List (ECL) since August 20, 2018, at the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
