Lahore, 23rd December: Should the former prime minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif settle in Russia now?

Baaghi TV: People on social media have started a debate on Nawaz Sharif, who has always demanded immunity for himself, but has always been rejected.

Reportedly, Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a lifelong immunity bill.

According to foreign media, President Putin had signed a bill of immunity to protect former presidents from life imprisonment, which would allow them to become members of the upper house for life once they leave the presidency.

According to media reports, the new law is part of President Putin’s political reform measures in the country this year, which allow President Putin to serve two more six-year terms if he so chooses.

As per reports, the legislation is part of a constitutional amendment that was passed by a vote in the country this year, giving President Putin the power to remain president until 2036.

As per reports, former Russian presidents have already been granted immunity from prosecution during their presidency, but the new law will provide them with immunity for life and will not allow their arrest, search or interrogation.

A new discussion has taken place on social media that the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif should take up this opportunity and leave for Russia soon.
