KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to appoint an administrator at the end of the local body term. According to sources, the Sindh government has finalized the names of two officers for the post of administrator, including Secretary Investment Najam Ahmad Shah and Secretary Finance Hassan Naqvi. Sources said that both the Grade 21 officers have worked in different departments of the Sindh government. The Sindh government will finalize the name of one officer for Administrator Karachi this month. Karachi’s local government system will expire at the end of August, after which administrators will be appointed to run local government affairs. In this regard, MQM-affiliated Federal Minister Aminul Haq said that no name has been given to the Sindh government for Karachi administrator while PTI’s Khurram Sher Zaman said that the appointment of administrator should be decided by consensus.
