Sindh High Court demands details of infrastructure projects

The Sindh High Court summoned the details of the plans of the World Bank and the Sindh government for the infrastructure of Karachi.

A hearing was held in the Sindh High Court regarding the awarding of tender against the rules in the development project of Karachi, on which the court asked for the details of the projects and directed to provide the details of the cost of each tender and the nature of the work.

Sindh Government, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), and others were parties in the petition.

According to the request, 3 billion 60 crore project is underway for the infrastructure of Karachi and is known as Competitive and Livable City of Karachi (CLK).

According to the petitioner, transparency is mandatory in the projects and the parties haven’t advertised any development projects, they are claiming emergency status for their actions.

The court issued notices to the parties for November 21 hearing.
