Lahore, 19th March, 3:00 pm: Sindh has put up a centre to report complaints against dog bite incidents.
Baaghi TV: According to reports, the Sindh government on Friday set up a complaint centre to tackle the issue of rising incidents of dog bites across the province.
As per the reports from Jang News publication, an advertisement issued by the Sindh government stated that authorities have decided to launch a campaign to vaccinate dogs across the province.
The campaign will work to make sure that stray animals are not infected with rabies and will also work on controlling the population of stray dogs across the province.
The Sindh government also mentioned in its advertisement that shooting and poisoning stray dogs are not good options.
It also added that authorities have adopted a modern and scientific method to vaccinate and neuter the animals hence people should make use of this service and ensure dogs are not subjected to violence.
Moreover, people can now register their complaints related to stray dogs on the helpline numbers 021-99211398 and 021-99211399.
It is pertinent to mention here that the daily incidents of stray dogs biting civilians is increasing in Sindh. Meanwhile, Punjab is also reporting dog-bite incidents.
The government and the concerned authorities are requested to look into this matter urgently!
