Sindh University bans TikTok app usage on-campus for students’ character building

Sindh University has placed a ban on the using short video streaming mobile application TikTok on campus citing character building and national development of students.

The circular was issued by the Director Student Affairs, Dr Muhammad Younis Laghuri on Wednesday.

The circular reads, “All the students are informed that recording Tik Tok in the campus specially showing unethical behavior/contents are completely banned in the premises of Sindh University campus.”

The varsity has warned future violators that if received any complain or observed such type of activity on social media, the University of Sindh will take action according to the code.

“If any students observe such type of activity then immediately call the Sindh University Security or following office,” the circular maintained.

The circular reads, “Dear Students. It has been observed, that different immoral TikTok Videos clips are circulating on public media. As the University of Sindh always engaged/struggling for best educational and learning environment and believe on character building and national development.”
