Lahore July 17 (Online): Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Senator Sirajul Haq has vowed to fight against the conspiracies being hatched by the enemies of Islam and Pakistan to deprive the country from its ideological identity.
Addressing a gathering in Jandol (Lower Dir) on occasion of a PTI ticket holder joining to the JI, he said the different lobbies working under secular influence had been making attacks on Pakistan Ideology for decades.
But, he quoted as saying in a statement issued from Mansoora, these challenges were confronted successfully by the nation in past. Now again, he said, some western lobbies became active and started making attacks on Islamic identity of Pakistan, declaring the JI would never allow those secular forces to achieve their mission.
He lamented the PTI government failed to fulfill the promise it made with the people. The so-called mainstream opposition parties, he said, on the other side engaged in the politics of self-interest, putting the real issues of masses at back burner. The JI, he said, was the only party which was performing the role of real opposition.
Senator Siraj also expressed regret over the criminal silence of international community and Pakistani rulers on the atrocities of Indian forces against people of Occupied Kashmir. He said Pakistan was incomplete without accession of Kashmir into it.
Meanwhile, Deputy Emir Liaqat Baloch has warned the government against rising public anger over its bad policies.
Talking to different delegations here on Friday, he said a countrywide movement against inflation and unemployment could start against the PTI government if the demands of the masses were not addressed immediately.
He said wheat shortage issue was looming and could create a serious crisis in a situation when the prices of electricity, cement, petroleum products and other daily need items were touching the skies. He demanded the provincial government to address the demands of the schools owners and teachers working under Punjab Education Foundation. He said there was need to form a national policy on Kashmir.
Baloch said a meeting of Milly Yakjehti Council was scheduled to be held on Saturday (July 18) in which different issues were come under discussion.
