Sixteen people have died of dengue in the country this year

7,129 dengue cases and 16 death across the Pakistan, the latest death was reported in Islamabad according to the latest field data from the Emergency Operations Centre in Islamabad.

According to emergency operations center, 194 cases, the maximum number of cases, were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including 88 from Peshawar. In Punjab, 93 cases were reported, including 86 in Rawalpindi, and 78 have been reported in Islamabad. Of the 35 cases reported in Sindh, 35 are from Karachi.The report has declared the two cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi the worst affected with 163 cases recorded in the last 24 hours.

The areas of Airport Housing Society, Gulbahar Scheme, Wakeel Colony, Dhoke Munshi and Kot Jabbi as hubs of infection in Rawalpindi, while Mohra Nagial and UC Kirpa were identified in Islamabad.

Punjab Government officials said that they are working on emergency basis to ensure the safety of citizens from dengue. Officials added that Government directed all district administrators to work hard in figh agaisnt dengue and make sure best treatment is given to affected patients.
