Lockdowns have been announced at two more locations in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, amid fears of the spread of the corona virus.

A written statement issued by the district administration said that a notification has been issued to implement smart lockdown in Darmangi Garden and Executive Lodges Warsak Road from 4 pm on July 21.

According to Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Muhammad Ali Asghar, in and out of these areas will remain closed during the smart lockdown.

He said that smart lockdown has been imposed in these areas due to the rapidly spreading cases of Corona virus, after which only essential food, medicine, general stores and emergency service shops will remain open in these areas.

It was further stated that only five people will be allowed to offer congregational prayers in the mosques of these areas.

It may be recalled that yesterday, the authorities had issued a notification to end the smart lockdown from Tehkal Bala and said that the implementation of the lockdown was reducing the number of corona cases.
