KARACHI: A smart lockdown directive has been issued in various UCs due to increasing cases of corona virus in the western district of Shar-e-Quaid. The District Health Officer of Gharbi District Karachi issued an emergency letter to the Deputy Commissioner Gharbi directing smart lockdown in Gadap, Kemari, Baldia, and Orangi UCs. According to DHO West District, 70 crore cases have been reported in different UCs of Gadap. 100 cases were reported in different UCs of Kemari, 269 cases were reported in Baldia, while 221 cases were reported in different UCs of the site and 79 cases were reported in Orangi Town. The DHO said that 134 cases were reported in Baldia UC5 and 149 in UC4 Metroville of Site Town. It is to be noted that after ending the general strict lockdown across the country, the federal government had decided to implement smart lockdown in the areas where more cases of corona virus are reported.
