LOS ANGELES: One Tree Hill (OTH) alum Sophia Bush, 41, and her husband Grant Hughes have decided to part ways after a thirteen-month marriage.

A source close to the couple informed PEOPLE that the couple has been friends for ten years and “bonded during COVID through their love of community service”. Sophia Bush and Grant Hughes who have decided to call it quits will continue to run their “nonprofit [The Bush Hughes Foundation For Progress] together and remain good friends”.

The news of their divorce comes almost seven weeks after the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary, in a heartwarming post on Instagram. It is pertinent to note that the couple tied the knot in June 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma after a year of being engaged. At the time, Bush had shared pictures of the romantic proposal on Instagram. Alongside a picture of Hughes on one knee, Sophia Bush had written: “My heart. It bursts.” Likewise, Hughes had celebrated by sharing a photo of the couple kissing on a boat, claiming: “She is my forever Favorite”. Hughes went on to add that he is “SO EXCITED to do life” with his love.
