SOPs for Eid ul Azha

The Government of Pakistan, Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department issued a notice pertaining the SOPs for Eid-ul-Adha to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

On the recommendations of Technical Working Group(TWG) the following SOPs were advised by the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department:

Public is advised to follow proper hygiene etiquette, by having a with themselves mask at all times in a public place, as well as proper hand sanitation. Sanitizes are to be available at all entry and exit points of all public places i.e. mosques, slaughterhouse, Eid Gah, etc.

They also stressed upon the fact, that how important it was for the public to follow social distancing rules. They were advised to arrange Namaz-e-Eid, in an open area, such as grounds or parks, so that there is free space for everyone. They were also advised to limit the gathering for Namaz-e-Eid to no more than 40 mins.

The administration is also required to keep the place of worship immaculate, clean, and ventilated at all times. They were advised to abstain from using mats and carpets in order to minimize the spread of the virus. The administration is also required to check everyone for their health status, via, thermal scanners.
