Feb 4, 2022: According to a report by the APP, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Leader Senator Faisal Javed Khan on Thursday said that today’s Senate session would be held on Kashmir Solidarity Day.
Quaid-e-Awan Shehzad Wasim moved a motion to suspend the normal agenda and debate on Kashmir.
In a tweet, Faisal Javed Khan said that Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani had also announced to hold a senate session in Muzaffarabad on February 5 on the invitation of Prime Minister of Azad Jammu Kashmir.
Faisal Javed Khan who is also Chairman senate standing committee on Information and Broadcasting said that the Nation supported Kashmiri brothers and sisters, adding that their struggle would continue till the independence of the suppressed brothers and sisters in IIOJK.
Leader of the Opposition in Senate and former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Friday said India was trying to change the population ratio in Kashmir.
“If India wants to restore relations with Pakistan, then it should reverse its move of August 5, 2019, through which it repealed the illegally occupied Kashmir’s autonomous status,” Yousuf Raza Gilani said addressing a Senate session in Islamabad. He said the Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the wishes of Kashmiris.
Yousuf Raza Gilani while addressing the House said that we express full solidarity with Kashmiris, “I am in solidarity with Kashmir on behalf of the entire opposition, India has been oppressing Kashmiris for almost 7 decades. It has been committing atrocities, basic human rights violations are now on the rise.”
He said India had been oppressing Kashmiris for more than seven decades. The Indian state’s violence had reached dangerous levels and it was engaged in genocide of Kashmiris,
Leader of the House Shehzad Waseem while addressing the House said that tomorrow the whole nation will celebrate Kashmir Solidarity Day. He said the treatment of Kashmiris in IIOJK by Indian occupation forces is similar to the apartheid state Israel had established against Palestinians in their homeland.
