Baaghi TV: Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar is once again going to be a part of Pakistan cricket team. Former speed star Shoaib Akhtar is likely to be appointed bowling coach by the Pakistan Cricket Board at the High Performance Center.
According to sources, the Rawalpindi Express has been contacted for the guidance of the young players and after their consent, the employment matters will be finalized.
Earlier, former captain Mohammad Yousuf and all-rounder Abdul Razzaq were hired as batting coaches at the High Performance Center. According to sources, the official announcement of responsibilities to these three players will be made in the next one or two days.
It should be noted that Shoaib Akhtar took 178 wickets in 46 Tests while he managed 247 wickets in 163 ODIs and 19 wickets in 15 T20s. Cricket fans on social media have praised the decision of the Pakistan Cricket Board to hire former players.
Cricket fans say that Pakistani players can easily adjust with their superstar while in the presence of a foreign coach, language becomes a big problem. Former national cricketers have a great opportunity to pass on their experience to the youth.
On the other hand, the fourth day of the ongoing Southampton Test between Pakistan and England was also marred by rain, with which Pakistan’s hopes of winning the series were dashed.
The rain continued intermittently in Southampton where only 10.2 overs of play was possible.
The Pakistani team started the fourth day with 223 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. After adding only 13 runs, the last wicket fell at 236 runs.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan batted brilliantly and played an innings of 72 runs.
