Standing Committee supports tax-free bills for religious places

The Standing Committee on Energy has recommended removing the tax from electricity bills of all places of worship, including mosques. The meeting of the Standing Committee on Energy of the National Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Sardar Riaz Mehmood Khan Mazari.

Federal Minister for Energy Khurram Dastgir told the committee that due to the fuel price adjustment of the units used in June, the bills came higher in August, since then we have improved our management.

The federal minister said that we have tried our best to minimize the use of expensive fuel, we are trying continuously to minimize the fuel price adjustment.
