Lahore:Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Additional IG Fayyaz Ahmad Dev has said, the status of martyrdom was only bestowed upon lucky persons.
“The measures for the look after and welfare of the families of martyrs of Lahore police have been my top priority”, Fayyaz Ahmad Dev said.
He stated this while talking to the widow and other family members of the martyr constable of Dolphin Squad Mohsin Ali who met him, on Friday in his office. SSP Administration Atif Nazir, DSP Admn Khalid Saeed, Incharge Welfare Eye Umme Kulsoom and other senior officers were also present. Commander Lahore Police Fayyaz Ahmad Dev handed over the keys and ownership documents of a six marla newly constructed house, under the welfare policy to the widow Gulshan Bibi and infant son Husnain Ali of Shaheed Dolphin Squad Constable Mohsin Ali. The CCPO Lahore expressed his affection and love with the son of martyr Mohsin Ali who was beautifully clad in Dolphin squad uniform.
Fayyaz Ahmad Dev, on this occasion said, sacrifices of brave personnel of Lahore police were a valuable asset of the department and every official of Lahore Police would not hesitate even for a single moment for sacrificing their lives in order to maintain law and order as well as to protect life and property of the citizens. The CCPO Lahore said the great sacrifices of martyrs like Dolphin Squad constable Mohsin Ali reflected the fact that personnel of Punjab and Lahore Police were on alert round the clock for undertaking the sacred mission of ensuring the safety of the citizens.
Fayyaz Ahmad Dev said the best welfare of martyrs’ families and provision of every possible facilities including educational scholarships, medical facility to the family members was his top priority. He said the martyrs had not only laid down their lives while serving the state and nation but also set a precedent for others. It is pertinent to mention that Dolphin Squad personnel Mohsin Ali while he was on his patrolling duty in December 2019, near Mehmood Booti Interchange, had found two suspicious persons on motorcycle. Mohsim Ali tried to stop them who opened fire at police party in respond and Mohsin Ali thus embraced martyrdom under fearless and faithful commitment. Mohsin Ali had been awarded Shaheed package by Punjab Police including full salary till his retirement age duration,rupees 40 lac cash and a six marla house in good locality of the provincial metropolis.
