Toshiro Moto, chief executive officer of the Tokyo Olympics 2020, confirmed on Saturday that a man from abroad, who is involved in hosting the Games, had tested positive for corona.
The administration did not disclose the citizenship of the person.
The administration has tightened security measures and the man has been removed from the Olympic Village and transferred to a hotel.
Last year, the Tokyo Olympics were postponed for a year due to the corona virus.
It should be noted that the Tokyo Olympics will start on July 23 without spectators in which 10 athletes from Pakistan will also participate.
