A huge number of student protests against board exams has been sweeping across Pakistan after National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) decided that board exams will be held this year amid the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the reports, there are reports of fierce clashes between police and students in Islamabad at the moment. The student force demand that they do not want to take exams and the Prime Minister should support their process of further studies without exams.

In this regard, it is also known that after the clash, the police dispersed the students and it has been revealed that several students were also detained. Islamabad’s D-Chowk, also referred to as Democracy Chowk, which is a frequent venue for political rallies, sit-ins and public gatherings, is still filled with students today in the scorching heat.

Meanwhile, sources from Islamabad said that the protest will continue till the demands are met. Students say they are against exams with incomplete courses in online classes and that is why they do not want to take exams. It is also being said that the police are showing great restraint to avoid any tragedy or accident.
