Rawalpindi / Islamabad, July 21 (Online): Pakistan National Heart Association (PaNAh) General Secretary Sanaullah Ghman said that sugar drinks and the diseases caused by them are not only a problem for the people but also for the government.
Billions of rupees are being spent for this which is not a proof of wisdom. The Prime Minister is appealed to formulate a comprehensive policy on the factors that harm the people and their health, so that a healthy society can be formed. In a press release issued from Panah, It is the cause of many diseases including diabetes, cancer, stomach and obesity.
The use of sugar drinks has become a fashion in every party, which will save the people and especially the young generation. A large number of children who regularly consume sugar drinks have heart diseases.
Diseases such as obesity and diabetes are on the rise. Obesity is a major cause of heart attack, and the use of sugary drinks has also increased the number of diabetics. We are not doing justice to our young generation. If we want to save the health of the people or especially the young generation, the government will have to take connotations. The Prime Minister’s words will have more impact than others.
We appeal to Prime Minister Imran Khan not to ignore the diseases caused by sugar drinks, but to take practical steps to create an effective strategy for the companies that make sugar drinks so that a healthy society can be formed.
