Supreme Court Bar Association polls schedule announced

ISLAMABAD, Sep 11 (Online): Schedule for annual election of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has been announced.
As per schedule polling will take place on October 29 and in the event of Eid Milad ul Nabi on this day, polling will be held on October 30.
Chairman Election Board (EB) Chaudhry Afrasyab Khan has issued election schedule in consultation with EB.
Voters and life time members have been directed to clear their outstanding dues till September 17.The preliminary list of eligible voters will be released on September 19. Objections can be raised on voters list till September 23 and these objections will be decided on September 25. The final list of eligible voters will be published on September 26.
The candidates can file their nomination papers from September 28 to October 3. The decision and hearing of the objections on the nomination papers will be held on October 06. The interim list of the candidates will be issued on October 07.
The appeals against rejection or acceptance of the nomination papers can be filed on October 10 with Pakistan Bar Council (PBC). Bar council will decide about these appeals till October 16. The candidates can withdraw their nomination papers till October 17.
The final list of the candidates will be issued on October 19. Polling which will be held on October 29 will start from 8.30 a.m and conclude at 5 pm.
Returning officers will complete counting of the votes on the same day and results will be compiled.
