Tania Aidrus quits her job as a Special Assistant

Lahore, 29th July 2020: Tania Aidrus, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister has resigned from her post.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, Tania Aidrus has submitted her resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In her resignation, she said that questions were raised on her dual citizenship. She has resigned from her post keeping in view the public interest.

In her resignation, Tania Aidrus added that a controversy had arisen over her Canadian citizenship.

It may be recalled that in February this year, Tania Aidrus, Head of Digital Pakistan Vision, was made Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Prior to this, Tania held a key position at Google’s regional head office in Singapore, but she left her lucrative job to come to Pakistan.

It should be noted that the federal government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has fulfilled its promise and released the details of assets of special assistants. It was discovered that 5 assistants hold special dual citizenship.

According to the Cabinet Division, Tania Aidrus, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Digital Pakistan, is a citizen of Canada and Singapore.
