Tashkent investors will visit Punjab soon: Governor Punjab

Lahore: Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar meets Governor of Tashkent Mr Jakhongir Artikkhodjayev , both agreed to exchange delegations including business community of the two provinces to further strengthen the relations between the two countries and promote trade and a delegation of Tashkent investors will also visit Punjab soon at the invitation of APTMA.
According to details, Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar arrived in Tashkent province on wednesday during his visit to Uzbekistan where Governor of Tashkent Mr Jakhongir Artikkhodjayev and other government representatives gave a hearty welcome to Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar , APTMA group leader Gohar Ijaz and other members of the delegation. Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, accompanied by a delegation from the business community, met with Governor Tashkent and the business community in Tashkent to discuss bilateral relations, trade promotion and cooperation in the field of research and other areas. Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar invited Governor of Tashkent and its business community to visit Punjab, which was accepted by Governor Tashkent and a delegation of Tashkent investors, will visit Punjab soon and will meet Governor of Punjab, Office bearers of APTMA and Lahore Chambers of Commerce.
During a meeting in Tashkent, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the steps taken during his visit to Uzbekistan to promote trade and cooperation in other fields, including research, were encouraging, adding that he would also like to thank the investors from different provinces of Uzbekistan who have shown interest in investing in the whole of Pakistan including Punjab. He expressed hope that when Uzbek investors would visit Punjab, trade between the two provinces will definitely be boosted. He assured that the Uzbek investors would be provided full protection and security. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that there are investment opportunities in Punjab in other sectors including textile, agriculture, education and health and the Punjab government is also setting up special economic zones in the province where all basic facilities are available and under one window operation, facilities are being created for investors. We will fully welcome investors in Punjab, he added
Tashkent Governor Jakhongir Artikkhodjayev said that we consider Pakistan as our second home and Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken exemplary steps to eradicate terrorism and bring peace to Afghanistan. Punjab and Tashkent will now walk shoulder to shoulder with Punjab and we extend all out cooperation including investment for the development and prosperity of Punjab.
