Team India coach Gautam Gambhir receives threat mail

Former India cricketer and current head coach Gautam Gambhir has received a death threat via email, with the subject line reading “ISIS” (Islamic State). The email contained just three chilling words: “I kill you.”
Following the threat, Gambhir filed a complaint at the Rajendra Nagar police station, prompting authorities to launch an investigation. Although no formal case has been registered yet, the cyber cell is actively working to trace the origin of the email and identify the sender.
“We have been informed about an alleged threat mail received on an email ID associated with Gautam Gambhir. The same is being investigated. He is already a Delhi Police protectee, and we do not comment on specific security arrangements,” said Delhi Police in a statement.
