Tehsildar’s lakhs of rupees fraud brought to light

LAHORE: A tehsildar’s lakhs of rupees fraud with a citizen in the name of land transfer has prompted the citizen to seek justice.
The citizen Sheikh Muhammad Shakeel has submitted applications to Senior Member Board of Revenue (BoR) Punjab, DG Anti-Corruption Punjab, Commissioner Lahore and others urging the officers to take the notice of the situation.
The applicant said that Tehsildar Shalimar Town Ismail Shahid has received a bribe of Rs0.9 million.
He said that the Tehsildar received lakhs of rupees in return for legitimate transfer of a piece of land but the land has not been transferred. Tehsildar of Shalimar Town did not return the money, even threatening, the applicant said, adding that the Tehsildar and Qanungo have set up a looting market in Shalimar Town, and no one is there to question him.
He urged the authorities concerned to take action against Tehsildar Shalimar Town.
