RISALPUR: Pakistan’s Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar, warned on Monday that the country’s desire for peace should not be misunderstood as weakness.

PAF air chief Asghar Khan addressed a passing out parade at Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Asghar Khan Academy Risalpur, saying Pakistan wishes peace with its neighbors, but this desire should not be misinterpreted as weakness.

The military forces are prepared to block any cross-border misadventure, he said, adding that while Pakistan does not want to engage in a regional arms race, the armed forces will continue to improve their capabilities to deter aggression.

The PAF head emphasized the importance of resolving the decades-old Kashmir dispute, saying that it is necessary for long-term peace in the region.

He asked the world community to take decisive action to put an end to Indian crimes in the occupied region.
About the situation in Afghanistan, the PAF Commander stated that security in Kabul is important for peace in Islamabad. Pakistan has made numerous sacrifices in the name of regional peace.

He also criticized human rights atrocities in Indian-controlled Kashmir. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar congratulated the 145th GD pilot and 91st Engineering Courses, graduates.

Saudi cadets were also among those graduating.
