Lahore, 5th August 2020: A big news for Pakistan Railways, ECNEC has approved the ML-1 project.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, the approval was given in a meeting chaired by Finance Advisor Abdul Hafeez Sheikh in Cabinet Block. Full credit was given to Imran Khan for the approval of such a huge project.

After the ML-1 project was approved by ECNEC, 1872 km of track was upgraded. The ML-1 project includes Karachi to Peshawar railway track.
The project is estimated at 6.6.8 billion, according to sources. A part of the CPEC project, ML-1 will be inaugurated this year.

Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid said that one and a half lakh people will get employment. After its completion, level crossings from railway tracks have been removed, and overhead bridges have been constructed in its place.

There will be a 5-year plan and the speed of the train will be 160 km per hour. The credit for approving the project goes to the Imran Khan government.
On the other hand, Chairman CPEC Authority Asim Bajwa confirmed on Twitter that ECNEC had approved the ML-1 railway project, which cost 6.6.8 billion from Peshawar to Karachi ML-1. The project also includes an upgrade of Havelian Dry Port and Walton Academy.
