The process of freezing the assets of Tehreek-e-Libaik has began

 

LAHORE: The government has reportedly started freezing the assets of Tehreek-e-Lubaik Pakistan (TLP) after it was banned. According to reports, the government has also started the process of freezing the assets of Tehreek-e-Lubaik Pakistan (TLP). 

The identity cards and passports of the central officials of Tehreek-e-Libek are also being blocked.

Sources said that the process of freezing the assets of TLP is being carried out under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 and the action is being taken under Section 11EE of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

SBP and the provincial revenue department would play a role in freezing the assets, besides issuing arms licenses to the banned party officials and workers.

According to sources, TLP central officials will not be able to buy or sell land or use bank accounts. Sources said that the federal government has given instructions to the four provinces for details of TLP assets.
