Lahore, 14th October: Misbah-ul-Haq, the head coach of the national cricket team has announced his resignation from the post of the chief selector.
Speaking at a press conference, Misbah-ul-Haq said, “I want to focus on coaching. I have to focus on international cricket. It was difficult for me to work as the chief selector. I have informed the PCB of my decision. Will work well together.”
Misbah-ul-Haq further said, “There are upcoming big events, there is Asia Cup and there are high hopes, looking at the impetus, looking at the Pakistan team, I think I have to leave this post so that someone else can look at it well.”
Misbah-ul-Haq further said that whether he is a defeated selector or not, as a coach, there is a responsibility or pressure to win or lose.
Misbah-ul-Haq further said, “The board gave me the option to leave the post, leaving the post of the chief selector is my own choice, there was no pressure. Leaving the post is my personal decision, and will now focus on coaching.”
